W hen I dreamed of Galerias on Broadway, my intentions were to introduce my guests to authentic Mexican cuisine to be enjoyed in an environment that did not reflect the predictable style of sombreros and ponchos. Instead, I hoped for a style that is timeless, ranging from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries. Galerias is a celebration of everything Mexican throughout the many states of Mexico.

Growing up in Jalisco, my family related food with life. We celebrated everything!

Weddings, baptisms, confirmations, changing seasons, and even new architectural constructions were all reasons to celebrate. We celebrated with food and drink, and those dishes that formed this part of my life are what Galerias is all about.

The dishes I have created in Galerias and have brought to you represent many different cultures of Mexico. The flavors come from a collection of new and old recipes. My mother and I created this menu to introduce a wide variety of chilies, seeds, and Mexican flavors to our guests. Many believe that the chili has special powers which bring strength and energy to those who enjoy them!

My family and you, my friends, have always been the guiding force that leads me in the right direction. Your insights and opinions will continue to help me give all of you who dine at Galerias on Broadway a true fiesta— Mexican style!
